How does the Plasma(PTA) cladding repair the hydraulic rod?

The flowing of high temperature plasma beam makes the alloy powder heated rapidly and it is together with the matrix of cladding, mixing, reaction, solidification, etc., And then, it would realize harden and strengthen on the surface which formed a wear-resisting layer to be high hardness and high bonding strength after being cooling.

Advantages of plasma cladding:

Hydraulic rod repair process:

Cleaning (oil removal and rust removal) workpiece surface (oil removal and rust removal)→ coarse car cleaning fatigue layer (original chrome plating layer)→ micro beam plasma cladding → defect repair → fine car cladding surface → fine grinding surface → polishing finished product.
Compared with laser cladding, the micro-beam plasma cladding method has a great improvement, but it still has the following aspects:
A cladding powder is consistent with a laser cladding powder;The service time (wear resistance, corrosion resistance, bonding strength, etc.) is equivalent to that of a cladding powder.

Laser cladding alloy layer thickness is generally 0.3mm/ time, if the workpiece wear is serious, the cladding layer thickness can be up to 1mm, the cladding period is longer.The thickness of microparticle cladding alloy layer is 0.8~1 mm, especially the cladding rate is higher.

Original equipment cost (including tooling, fixtures, etc.): the price of 1 million kW (domestic) laser cladding equipment is more than one million yuan, and the cost of micro plasma cladding equipment is about 200,000 yuan, less than 1/5 of the cost.
