Centrifugal pumps (or centrifugal fans) can be divided into forward-curved, radial-curved and backward-curved centrifugal pumps according to blade types.
Because the centrifugal pump with rear curved blades has the following advantages over the other two types of pumps:
(1) From the nature of the pressure head, the proportion of the dynamic pressure head of the back curved blade in the total pressure head is small, so the energy loss of the dynamic pressure head when the diffuser part of the pump becomes a static pressure head is small;
(2) From the point of view of the power consumption of the pump, when the flow rate and head of the centrifugal pump with curved blades change, the power changes little, thus providing a good working condition for the motor;
(3) From the internal loss of the impeller, the radial and forward curved blades have shorter flow passages, larger diffusion angles and curvatures, which increase the hydraulic loss; However, the loss of the rear curved blade is very small. Therefore, the blades of centrifugal pumps in the field mostly adopt back curved blades.
