Performance advantages

The action form of k-TIG is exactly the same as that of traditional TIG welding. the difference is that a stable keyhole will be formed in the welding process. the key point is that the arc energy of k-TIG welding is much higher than that of traditional TIG welding. the diameter of tungsten electrode used in k-TIG is over 6MM, the welding current reaches 600-650A, and the arc voltage is 16-20V. Under such high welding parameters, the arc electromagnetic contraction force is greatly improved, and the macroscopic performance is that the arc straightness, arc force and penetration ability are significantly enhanced. During welding, the arc penetrates deeply into the molten pool, and pushes the molten metal to the side wall around the molten pool, forming a keyhole. If the arc pressure, the vapor reaction force formed by evaporation of metal on the side wall of the small hole and the surface tension of liquid metal are in dynamic balance with the internal pressure of metal, the keyhole will exist stably. With the advancement of the arc, the metal in the molten pool closes behind the arc and cools and solidifies into a weld. The whole process is very similar to the plasma arc "small hole" welding method.
There are obvious differences between k-TIG welding equipment and traditional TIG welding equipment, mainly as follows:
1. Traditional TIG welding power supply cannot provide high welding current required by K-TIG welding, so k-TIG power supply is generally special equipment.
2. The welding current of K-TIG is very high, and the welding heat dissipation requirements are high, so it is necessary to have a powerful cooling system.
3. Due to the strong arc disturbance of k-TIG, the gas flow protection effect is greatly disturbed. High-purity protective gas is used and the flow rate of protective gas is increased. Usually, we use high-purity argon for protection. If conditions are met, double gas protection is recommended.
Compared with traditional TIG welding, the production efficiency of k-TIG is greatly improved. For example, when the welding speed is 250-300MM/min, stainless steel below 14MM can be welded once, and the joint form is flat butt welding without filling wire. If welding 3MM stainless steel plate, the welding speed is as high as 1m/min. Because of the large heat input of k-TIG welding, it is generally used to weld at the flat welding position, without grooving and without adding welding wire.

7. The welding fault tolerance rate is high. Under a certain thickness, the gap and misalignment of the welded workpiece can reach 2mm.
8. Welding includes carbon alloy steel, stainless steel, titanium alloy, nickel-base alloy and zirconium, which can ensure the extraordinary welding speed and quality.
